      On November 30, 2014, in Bern was marked the one hundred years of the outbreak of the First World War. The event was held under the title "One hundred years after", and organized by the teaching staff of the Serbian complementary school in Switzerland. The patron of the event was the President of the Republic of Serbia H.E. Mr. Tomislav Nikolic, and support of the organization was provided by the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Bern. In her capacity as special envoy of the President of the Republic of Serbia, in Bern on this occasion arrived Counselor of the President, Dr. Jasmina Mitrovic Maric.
      In honor of Dr. J. Mitrović Maric, the Embassy organized cocktail party which was attended by the organizers of the event with their guests, as well as some representatives of the Serbian diaspora in Switzerland.
      The main event took place in elementary school "Schwabgut" in Bern. Dr. Mitrovic Maric gave an inspired speech, which left a remarkable impression on all present guests. The school hall was packed, recitals, songs and music performed by children from several cities in Switzerland, Belgrade, Vukovar and Hamburg, evoked memories of the heavy losses and agony that Serbia suffered during the Great War.
