In the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia, on April 17th, 2015, Ambassador dr Snezana Jankovic, on behalf of the President of the Republic of Serbia, has awarded professor dr Afksendyios Kalangos, Head of Cardio-surgery Department at the University Clinic of Geneva, with the Candelmas (Sretenje) decoration of second degree, for his merits in the extraordinary humanitarian work in the Republic of Serbia.
     In honour of professor Kalangos, young Serbian cellist Pavle Savic performed a short concert after Ambassador Jankovic and professor Kalangos gave addressed the audience.
     Representatives of the diplomatic corps, Serbian and Greek diaspora, as well as  professor's colleagues were among the invitees.
