Printer Friendly Version PRESENTATION OF THE STUDY ABOUT FAMOUS SERBS WHO LIVED AND STUDIED IN SWITZERLAND, November 30th,2018 @ 5 December 2018 11:06 AM

The study about famous Serbs who lived and studied in Switzerland from 1863 to 1918, was presented at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in the Swiss Confederation. The autor is Mr. Živko Marković, and the study consists of two parts: "Serbs in Switzerland - students 1863-1918" and "Serbs in Switzerland 1914-1918". It was published on the occasion of the centenary of the end of the First World War, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia.
       Welcoming the attendees, Ambassador Snežana Jankovic pointed out that this capital work is a result of the decade-long research and work of Mr. Živko Marković, and that it provides a valuable insight into the connection between Serbia and Switzerland and the cooperation between these two countries in the field of education and culture in the mid-19th century.
       The author spoke about his plans to publish another study of famous Swiss people who played a significant role in relations with Serbia on the eve and during the First World War.
       The promotion was attended by representatives of the diplomatic corps and the Serbian diaspora.
