Prime Minister Ana Brnabic talked today with Director General of the Geneva Chamber of Commerce (CCIG) Vincent Subilia about the continuation of already successful cooperation, attracting new investors and the promotion of business opportunities of Serbia.


Brnabic informed her interlocutors about the good business climate in Serbia and industries which are favourable for investment, with a special emphasis of digitalisation, artificial intelligence and biotechnology.

The Prime Minister especially pointed to the advantages available to foreign investors.

She underlined that Switzerland is among the leading investors in Serbia in the field of information technologies, given that this field has a great potential for development in our country.  

Brnabic highlighted the importance of biotechnology as a promising field of cooperation with companies from Geneva.

According to her, experts from Serbia can learn a lot from their Swiss colleagues when it comes to that field, and the fact that Serbia is creating environment for development of biotechnology speaks in favour of that.

Subilia said that Serbia, as an advanced economy, can contribute significantly to the further improvement of business opportunities of companies from Geneva which want to invest and that is why his mission is to encourage the companies and help them come and do so.

The meeting in the Serbian government was also attended by Swiss Ambassador to Serbia Urs Schmid and President of the Swiss-Serbian Trade Chamber Majo Micovic.
