The Swiss-Serbian Business Network (SSBN) and the "Home of Blockchain" Association, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia in Bern, organized a panel discussion on the possibilities for strengthening ties between Serbia and Switzerland in the field of blockchain technologies, which was attended by about 40 Serbian and Swiss entrepreneurs and experts, as well as owners of ICT companies from some other countries, such as Ukraine.
The message to the panel participants was sent via video link by the Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation of the Republic of Serbia, J. Begović, and the attendees were personally greeted by Amb. G. Bradic.
Minister Begović pointed to the successes achieved in the last ten years in our country in the field of digitization in various spheres - from public administration, through the system of health services, to the application in scientific and research centers and scientific and technological parks, as well as the extremely good results in exports service in the field of ICT. She emphasized that last year, Serbia achieved exports in the ICT sector of 2.7 billion euros and an even better result of around 30 to 35% is expected this year. She also highlighted the accelerated development of blockchain technologies in Serbia, especially after the adoption of the Law on Digital Assets in June 2021.
Ambassador Bradić assessed that the relations between Serbia and Switzerland are dynamic and diverse and that in addition to good political and economic cooperation, we have maintained and developed extremely good cooperation in the fields of science, research and new technologies. He reminded that two of the four science and technology parks in Serbia (Belgrade, Niš, N. Sad and Čačak) were established with the help of the Swiss Government, as well as that two more science and technology parks are planned to be established in our country soon. He emphasized that the Center for the 4th Industrial Revolution was opened in Serbia a little less than two years ago in Belgrade in cooperation with the World Economic Forum, whose headquarters are in Geneva, and that it is the only such center in the wider region. He added that we are currently working on bilateral cooperation projects with leading pharmaceutical companies and scientific research centers in Switzerland.

Cardano, founder of the "Cardano Foundation", as well as and owners of several companies operating in Serbia and Switzerland in the field of blockchain technologies - Dejan Milenović (Authena) and Nemanja Petrović (Moonstruck).
The common assessment is that Serbia has extremely talented and well-educated experts, and that in cooperation with Swiss partners they can use their advantages of good product branding and access to different markets.
